Technical information

Start with the fit.
Then get the full detail.

Check the space inside your sliding door’s bottom rail, then ask our team for the current VOLTA technical document set.

VOLTA is integrated during door fabrication. We help your fabricator coordinate the roller, profile, track, power and controls.

First feasibility check

Will it fit inside your rail?

Allow a minimum internal rail cavity of 34 mm wide × 40 mm high as the starting point for a VOLTA integration review.

This is the minimum cavity listed in the supplied 8800 component drawing. It is a screening dimension, not approval to machine an extrusion or a statement of total installed roller height.

Your complete profile and track

Adjustment, track shape, drainage, fixing points, wiring and service access also need to be checked, along with roller support and clearance from locking hardware. Share dimensioned profile and track sections before committing to fabrication.

Power & installation planning

Plan the charging point.
Protect the finished room.

Coordinate the power supply, cable route and service access before wall linings or joinery are finalised.

Auto-charging battery

The battery recharges when the door is closed. Published guidance indicates approximately 24 hours of resilience; actual duration depends on charge, use and configuration. Discuss doors that will spend long periods open.

Continuous powered rail

Selected configurations use an integrated rail for continuous power. Confirm the frame, track and electrical provisions with the fabricator.

  • Accessible power-supply location and concealed cable route
  • Closed-position charging contacts, cable reach and indicator access
  • Handle, locking hardware and control-module compatibility
  • Access for commissioning, battery service and future maintenance

If assistance is unavailable, manual operation remains possible. Operating effort and accessibility depend on the complete installed door.

Request the applicable power and control details

Before fabrication

A cavity is only the beginning.

The best result comes from treating VOLTA as part of the complete door from the start.

  • Panel dimensions, glazed weight and opening arrangement
  • Bottom-rail profile, track geometry and roller adjustment
  • Seal resistance, drainage and threshold requirements
  • Handle or other control choice, charging position and electrical provision
  • Access for commissioning, cleaning and future service

Selected approved arrangements support panels up to 250 kg. The allowable load varies with the roller configuration and door layout; the maximum is not universal.

Planning a fabricator integration

Planning or already installed?

Get the details right.

Will the roller’s weight rating tell me how easy the door is to move?

No. Load capacity and operating effort are different measures. Panel mass, seal friction, wheel-to-track contact, alignment and the opening arrangement all matter. Share any required force target early and verify breakaway and running effort on the complete glazed door.

Can I choose my own architectural handle?

Selected architectural pull handles can operate VOLTA through a suitable adaptor. Share the handle and lock details with your fabricator so mounting, clearances and control response can be checked. The slimline VOLTA handle is another option.

What information helps with a support request?

Tell us your door supplier, country, approximate installation date, control type and what the door is doing. A short video or photograph can be arranged when the team replies.

Can I carry out repairs myself?

Follow the user-accessible checks in the manual supplied with your installation. Leave powered components, battery replacement and adjustments to a suitably qualified installer. Request the current manual if yours is missing.

Does VOLTA work with every sliding door?

No. The complete profile, track, panel, layout and power arrangement must be suitable. VOLTA is designed for integration during fabrication. Any modification of an existing door requires a separate assessment.
